Feb
1911 "Tomatsu Yamamoto" founded
the sales business of our soy sauce and miso production at the present
location. Our company name “Yamato” is derived from the shop name
of this time.
Feb 1916 "Kokichi
Yamamoto" started brewing soy sauce.
May 1953 The company
was reorganized and named Yamato Soysauce Co., Ltd.
1961 The company's
50th anniversary.
Oct 1964 A soy sauce
brewing factory and Miso brewing factory was build.
Oct 1965 The company
was reorganized to Yamato Soysauce & Miso Co., Ltd.
Oct 1967 2 miso koji
rooms were installed. 3 fermenting rooms were installed. Preparing
process was machinarized.
1971 We were accredited
as a JAS factory for soy sauce.
1985 We were accredited
as a JAS factory of noodle soup.
1988 Our display
room "Hishihogura" was opened. We began to accept factory tours as
a communication strategy.
1997 Soy sauce ice-cream
cone began to be sold.
2000 We received
certification of ISO9002.
2001 We were certified
as a manufacturer of organic JAS food.
2003 ISO9002 certification
was transferred to ISO9001:2000.
